From furniture and tabletop to linens and décor, each piece is selected not only for its design, but for its ability to be used again and again. Giving Our Event Rental Products a Second Life
Perhaps the most meaningful part of our sustainability journey is what happens when our event rental products leave our inventory for the final time. Rather than discarding items, leading to waste and landfill, we focus on extending their life through donation, ensuring they continue to serve a purpose in the community.
To mark Earth Day 2026, Element will be making a new donation of over 51,000 items valued at more than $120,000 to the Salvation Army this week. These in-demand items provide much-needed relief to the communities who rely on them, and we are grateful to be a part of this effort. Through our ongoing partnership with The Salvation Army, thousands of tabletop items are repurposed each year. “By donating your surplus event rentals inventory and giving it a second life, you have helped reduce waste while supporting vital programs such as food banks, shelters, addiction and rehabilitation services, school and camp programs, and emergency disaster response”, said Sara Hicks, National Business Development and Sustainability Specialist at the Salvation Army.
We’re very proud that in B.C., our retired rental furniture was donated to Habitat for Humanity. The organization shared that our donations were an important contribution that supported their ongoing effort to provide affordable housing and living arrangements to their community. Over the past year, we have supported a wide range of organizations through meaningful contributions. Large-scale donations to Azerbaijan Women Support included thousands of tabletop pieces and over 3,000 linens, giving essential resources a new home.
Element has also supported community gatherings locally, from providing over 700 chairs for Ramzan initiatives to contributing hundreds of chairs, tables, and event essentials to schools, churches, and outreach programs across the GTA. In total, these efforts represent over $100,000 in donated items, helping create meaningful moments for others while extending the lifecycle of our products and reducing waste.

We can better understand fuel usage, stay ahead of maintenance needs, and encourage safer driving practices across our team. These are not always the most visible changes, but they are meaningful ones. They represent a shift toward more intentional operations, where every mile and every decision is considered. We care a great deal about the amount of fuel we use, and the wear we put on our vehicles and know that by investing in new technology to minimize these factors, we can lessen the impact on our planet.
