James Dent is Chief Executive Officer of Element Event Solutions. He previously served as Element’s Chief Financial Officer, where he led financial strategy, planning, corporate development, and business performance, giving him deep, firsthand knowledge of the company’s operations, customers, and growth levers.
James brings more than 12 years of strategic finance and investment experience. Before Element, he was with McCain Capital Partners, a leading Canadian family investment firm, where he partnered with management teams to drive growth and value creation, including MCP’s 2019 investment in Chair-Man Mills. He began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at CIBC Capital Markets, executing transactions across North America.
James holds a B.Comm. (Honours) and a BA in History from Queen’s University.
